How to Clean Faux Christmas Trees
12/2/2020 (Permalink)
According to the American Christmas Tree Association roughly 80% of the trees set up annually are artificial.
The Holiday Season is now in full swing! Christmas is just around the corner and one of our favorite parts of the holiday is setting up the Christmas tree. Many artificial trees can look and smell dusty after spending 11 months stored away. Below are our cleaning recommendations to give your tree new life.
- Dust- If your tree can tolerate it, remove larger loose particles of dust using a vacuum cleaner with attachment. If not, use a static cling cloth (like the Swiffer Duster) to gently glide across the branches.
- Wet Wipe- After you have removed the excess dust fill a bucket with warm water and a small amount of dish soap. Use a soft cloth or sponge to carefully wipe each branch down.
- Deodorization- After you have given your tree a good wipe down you can add deodorizing sticks specifically designed to hide in your Christmas Tree. They come in a wide variety of scents but our favorite is “Oh, Christmas Tree”.
