Indian River County COVID-19 Check-in

We wanted to take a moment to check in with our community. We understand that the last couple of months have been very trying to many households and businesses. While the number of cases has risen in Florida, we have been fortunate enough to be on the lower end of the spectrum. In the last COVID-19 debriefing Jason Brown, County Administrator, stated “social distancing seems to be working so we need to keep doing what we have been.” As of today, there have been 85 cases confirmed and 3 deaths in the county. We would like to extend our condolences for those who have been affected by this coronavirus. Last week, President Trump released a 3-step plan for reopening our country. Brown stated the county has been conducting planning for this, but are not ready to do so yet. We understand resources are running low for many but it’s important that we adhere to the guidelines set by our governing bodies.
