Living in Vero Beach, thankfully, we don’t have to worry about rapid wildfires like the people on the West coast. But nevertheless, being in the fire restoration business, we often still work with customers whose houses and buildings catch fire, and sometimes burn down. In some serious cases, there’s often a flaw involved. Many times the sprinkler system is broken, the smoke alarm doesn’t go off or no one is even home to be aware of the fire. There are many other issues that can contribute to building fires, but the Building Fire Protection Division are working on aspects to improve on, to decrease the issues.
The Fire and Life Safety Building Systems industry have been way behind other industries when it comes to smart technology monitoring and inspections. And because of that, they have been researching many ways to advance and improve on, while eliminating outdated and inefficient equipment. They say that there are many benefits and minimum risks when it comes to smart technology monitoring and since we live in a digital age, there are better practices available. The purpose of the smart technology is to prevent or lessen the effects of a fire. These built in systems will alert the homeowner and fire stations at a quicker rate, and the technology will be able to monitor equipment at a more precise measurement. The quicker our technology advances, the safer we become!
