Mold in Vero Beach Kitchen
The mold in this home was caused by a slow leak in the plumbing of the kitchen sink. The leak was in a section of the pipe that was behind the cabinet. This gave opportunity for a significant amount of mold to develop. The owners began to notice a strong musty odor when they would open the doors to the cabinet. Our team, at SERVPRO of Vero Beach, removed the cabinets revealing the large mold colony and pipe leak. A plumber was called in to repair the pipe while our crew continued with the mitigation process. Since the mold was so invasive, it was necessary to treat and seal the studs to prevent future mold growth. After the mitigation was completed a contractor replaced the drywall and cabinets.
