Mold at Indian River Animal Shelter
We were called by a non-profit animal shelter, local to Indian River County, to remediate mold that was growing up the wall from the floors. The cause of loss was from a prior water heater leak. The staff attempted to dry out the space using box fans. Unfortunately, there was a still some water left behind that was not detectable to the touch. This was the perfect opportunity for the residual moisture to breed mold. Upon our initial assessment, we found it necessary to cut out the affected portion of the drywall and treat the studs behind it. Prior to wrapping up at the jobsite, we made sure to purify the air of any lingering odors and impurities. Our team did not “just” mitigate some mold-- we were able to leave the shelter "Like it never even happened."
